Service Taxonomy

Service Taxonomy is in the Platform Admin section of the menu. It opens /admin/service-taxonomy (ServiceTaxonomyGraphWidget, route name service_taxonomy_graph).
Only a global admin can use it. Anyone else sees "Global administrator access is required."
This page is the operator guide for recommendation wires. The rest of the Platform Admin menu stays off the public help nav.
What a wire is
A wire connects a trade to a service category. It means that trade recommends that category. The stored edge is orgTypes/{tradeId}/recommendedServices/{categorySlug}.
Drawing a wire from a trade output port to a category input port adds that edge (setTradeEdge). Deleting the wire removes it.
A recommendation wire is not an organization's live service, and it is not location coverage. Those are on Services & Parts.
Canvas
The title is "Service Taxonomy". Reload is in the app bar.
The count line reads "{n} trades - {n} active categories ({n} retired) - {n} types".
Toolbar:
- Fit view
- Add type
- Add category
- Add trade
- Inspector on a phone (opens the inspector sheet)
- Y or X to flip the axis
- Cascade and Compact for the layout
The legend labels are Trade, Category, Type, and Link.
The diagram itself does not expose a named control for every node. Edit from the inspector.
Inspector
With nothing selected, the inspector says "Select a trade, category, type, or wire to edit."
A selected wire shows "{trade} -> {category}", the line "Press Delete to disconnect.", and Disconnect.
A trade with no wires says "No wires yet." under "Connected categories". Actions include Merge into... and Delete.
A category can Rename, Set inactive or Set active, and lists "Connected trades" and "Types". Add type, Retire into..., Merge into..., and Delete are on that inspector. No types yet says "No types on this shelf yet."
