Your Dashboard

The Owner Dashboard is your home base in MyVSSL. Here you can see all your vessels, recent bookings, and quickly access key features.
Dashboard Overview
When you log in as a Vessel Owner, you'll see:
- Welcome Header - Personalized greeting with your name
- Browse Marketplace - Quick access to find marine services
- My Vessels - All vessels you own
- My Bookings - Recent service requests
My Vessels Section
This section displays all vessels registered to your account.
What You'll See
For each vessel:
- Photo - Your vessel's image
- Name - Vessel name
- Registration - Registration/HIN number
- Length - Length overall (LOA)
Actions
- Tap a vessel - Select the vessel for actions like uploading photos
- Add Vessel button (+) - Register a new vessel via the floating action button
Empty State
If you haven't added any vessels yet, you'll see a friendly prompt to add your first vessel.
My Bookings Section
This section shows your recent service requests.
What You'll See
For each booking:
- Booking Number - Unique reference
- Date - When the booking was created
- Status Badge - Current status (Active, Completed, Cancelled)
Booking Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Quote Requested | Waiting for service provider to respond |
| Quoted | Quote received, awaiting your decision |
| Quote Accepted | You accepted the quote |
| Scheduled | Service date confirmed |
| In Progress | Work is underway |
| Completed | Service finished |
| Cancelled | Booking was cancelled |
Actions
- Tap a booking - View full booking details
- View All - Access complete booking history via My Bookings in menu
Quick Actions
Browse Marketplace
The prominent "Browse Marketplace" card takes you to discover:
- Marine surveyors
- Repair services
- Maintenance providers
- Other marine professionals
Add a Vessel
Use the floating action button (+) to add a new vessel to your account.
Navigation Menu
Tap the logo in the app bar to open the menu. As a Vessel Owner, the menu lists these items in this order:

| Upload Vessel Photo | Add a photo to the vessel you selected on this dashboard. See Updating Vessel Photo. If none is selected, the menu shows "Select a vessel first from your dashboard" |
| Image Library | Open Image Library (/photoLibrary) |
| Browse Marketplace | Find marine services (/marketplaceBrowse) |
| My Bookings | Complete booking history |
| My Tasks | Vessel tasks (/owner/tasks) |
| Quote Requests | Quote requests you sent (/owner/quote-requests) |
| Maintenance | Component maintenance (/vessel/maintenance) |
| Profile | Your account (/profile) |
Footer controls
These sit on the menu sheet. They are not extra rows in the table above.
- Theme - Each tap cycles the theme. The tooltip reads "Theme: System (tap for Light)", then "Theme: Light (tap for Dark)", then "Theme: Dark (tap for System)".
- Send Feedback - Report an issue, request a feature, or ask a question. The tooltip is "Send Feedback".
- Logout - Sign out of your account.
Tips
- Keep vessel info updated - Accurate details help service providers give better quotes
- Add vessel photos - Photos help professionals understand your vessel
- Check bookings regularly - Respond to quotes promptly for faster service
- Select your vessel - Some actions (like Upload Photo) require selecting a vessel first
